Crawford Healthcare CEO Richard Anderson has been named the North West’s medium-sized business ‘Director of the Year’ by the Institute of Directors (IoD) - his second IoD Award in just three years.

Richard, who was named the organisation’s Science & Innovation Director of the Year in 2015, founded Crawford Healthcare in 2009 and since then has taken it from a three-person start up to an international business with more than 130 employees.

Competing alongside some of the region’s most successful business leaders, Richard and Crawford’s achievements were celebrated at a gala dinner hosted at Manchester’s Midland Hotel by TV presenter Mark Durden-Smith.

Commenting on the award win, Richard said: “It’s an absolute honour to be recognised amongst the best in the North West, and even more so for a second time. Between us, we are building a truly world-class business on the foundations of North West talent and innovation, exporting our IP to more than 20 global destinations. Our journey is by no means complete though and I’m looking forward to us realising our ambitious growth plans in the long-term.”
