KerraPro Heel

KerraPro is indicated for the prevention of pressure ulcers in at-risk patients as part of a pressure ulcer prevention programme.

KerraPro Heel can be used with the long side under the arch of the foot for mobile patients or for patients in the sitting position (1). For immobile patients in the lying position KerraPro Heel can be used with the long side under the lower calf (2). It is also effective on elbows and knees (3).

Using KerraPro Heel
  • As pictured in  1    place the silicone shaped pad directly underneath the heel. Ensure the flat edge of the outer heel cup is in contact with the surface that is causing pressure and the thin front section of the pad conforms to the arch of the foot. This is the recommended pad position when a patient is mobile or is in the sitting position.

As pictured in  2    place the silicone shaped pad at the back of the heel. Ensure the flat edge of the outer heel cup is in contact with the surface that is causing pressure (e.g. bed) and the thin front section of the pad conforms to the Achilles tendon. This is the recommended pad position when a patient is bedbound, resting or has their feet/legs elevated.
The pads can also be used to protect shoulders, knees and elbows.
